Jordan is home!!

I am so blessed to have my son home again and it broke my heart last night as he sat on my bed and told me how much he already missed everyone. He is ready to move today to Idaho. Boy, was it a long time for me! He said he missed us but wished he could have stayed longer. His first time away from home by himself and he was ready to leave for good!

Here are some pictures from his visit to Idaho...

You may not be able to tell from all the posting I have done in the past few weeks but we have been busy and having a great summer. That isn't really the reason I haven't posted anything lately though. I have been too busy at work and not making it to the library. No computer at home with internet connection leaves me with no posts. I truly love simplicity and am not complaining. I miss my son terribly but have also been really enjoying the time alone with my daughter. We have both had a a lot of laughs and more than one trip to the mall.

The garden is not doing as well as I had hoped because of all the rain the lettuce and carrots are drowned. The beans didn't germinate at all because they got washed out of the soil with the first heavy rain the day after planting. So, we are left with peas, tomatos, and cilantro. We are going to plant again for a late summer crop in the other beds and pray for a better harvest. Looking on the bright side our rain barrels are full!!

Summer is here and we are in full swing.
