Baby steps

I have still not gotten my excitement back up about blogging. Now, don't misunderstand me. I love to share what is going on and how things have been and are doing but I don't like the limbo I have been feeling and that makes it very hard for me to put things down in black and white.

Here is our update:

Jordan and Jennifer are both better and recovering nicely from their bouts with infection and infliction. THANK YOU for all the prayers and calls!

I have been praying and NOT stressing about the employment situation. God is faithful above all else. I praise Him daily for His faithfulness!!

Weather has been cold with very little snow and we have not had much opportunity to play outside with so much sickness.

School is going GREAT!!! Both kids are working on writing projects for a local writing contest.

We are getting ready to go to Arizona and Kauai for Spring Break. It should be a great time of fun in the sun! I am most looking forward to seeing family.

Well, those are my baby steps.

Goodbye 2008!

I am not sorry to see this year come to a close but I am not really excited either. I feel as if there is still so much left to do and yet the days have disappeared. Our family will annoint our home tonight and we will begin the new year with fasting and much prayer but I am not very thrilled with 2009 being here already. I am not ready.

"Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning; and you yourselves be like men who wait for their master, when he will return from the wedding, that when he comes and knocks they may open to him immediately.
Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them.
And if he should come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.
But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.
Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect."
(Luke 12:35-40)

Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. (Revelation 3:3)

These verses seem to about sum up my thoughts these last few weeks of 2008.
